The Planning Commission

The Planning Commission met last Wednesday, September 17, 2025. They first discussed portable signage, advising Town Council to approve them for businesses, as long as they complied with the town color pallet, would be made of plastic, wood, or metal, kept in good repair, were sturdy, came in at night, were of appropriate size, and did not shake, rattle, or roll.

They then discussed how to define removal of a property and after some good thoughts, asked Staff to do some further research. I expect this discussion will take some time.

They are being thoughtful and thorough as they consider how to best manage the Virgin River. Kash Bhatti and Terry Kruschke, with Niall Connolly on Staff are in the early stages of meeting with experts and learning best practices for river management.
