Drawing a Crowd

Urban Sketchers from SLC, Las Vegas and St George will be joining Springdale Sketcher Nov 11- 14, 2026. I encourage skechers from the area to come on Nov 11 at the Community Center to see what it is all about.

Here's what to expect:

This is a free event, therefore there will be no formal education or workshops; it's simply an opportunity to get together to sketch at an awe-inspiring location and make some new friends. Here's the tentative schedule:

We will kick things off with a meet-and-greet on November 11, 4:00-7:00 pm, at the Canyon Community Center in Springdale. This is your chance to get to know the rest of the participants from other sketching communities. We will be providing bottles of water and pizza; bring your own non-alcoholic beverage if you’d like!

**We will also have a free drawing for art supplies, including two sketchbooks from Luchetti, a Winsor-Newton sketching kit, and more.**

On November 12th and 13th we will have a day of sketching at your choice of locations in and around Zion National Park and Springdale, followed by a group throw-down at 5:30 pm at the Hyatt Place Springdale lobby (1215 Zion Park Blvd.).

On our last day, November 14th, we will spend the morning sketching together at Springdale Shuttle Stop #5 from 10 a.m. until noon. The final throwdown will be at the Bonrue Bakery (828 Zion Park Blvd.) at noon, followed by lunch for those who are interested (dutch). If you want to sketch somewhere else in the morning, join us at noon for the throwdown and lunch.
