Jake Gailey’s Journey Update

Jake, Aryana , and Moki Gailey moved to Springdale a couple of years ago. As reported in last week’s issue, Jake has started a never-before-accomplished 1200 mile bike trip from rom Glacier National Park to Olympic National Park.

He reports, “I’m around 177 miles in and 19,500 ft climbed so far and I’m doing pretty well! The weather was perfect while I was cycling through Glacier Nation Park and then got really nasty and wet when I was up in the Whitefish Rand/10 lakes wilderness area. I’m averaging around 30-ish miles a day so far and I got a sidewall flat riding into Eureka that I repaired and I’ve spent the last two nights in town waiting out a huge rainstorm and I’m heading back to the trail tomorrow morning.”
