Public Education, Please

I recognize that many people believe the common misconception that our educational system only benefits those who have children in school. There is no good metric which is not improved by having an educated society, from property values to average income. There is no negative metric which is not decreased by having an educated society, from crime rate to generational poverty. Make no mistake, taxes that go to schools benefit everyone in a society, with the possible exception of drug lords.
