Looking Forward: The Springdale Community Forum

In October of 2025, the Springdale Community Forum (SCF) was created to provide a non-partisan, fair, and open space for civic dialogue between candidates and residents during the municipal election cycle. The SCF was proud to organize and execute the successful Meet the Candidates Night program.

With the election over, the SCF has re-tooled its purpose statement to better align with the group’s focus moving forward. The new purpose statement reads: “The Springdale Community Forum is a volunteer-led, nonpartisan group created to foster fair, open civic dialogue. Through events and gatherings, we seek to encourage community members to engage with each other and public officials to cultivate a deeper understanding of, and involvement in, the issues that shape our town.”

SCF is pleased to announce that Merle Peifer, a long-time Springdale resident, has joined the Forum, alongside Robyn Chancey, Judith Figlo, Darci Carlson, and Adrian Player. Merle brings decades of lived experience and a deep understanding of Springdale’s history, adding valuable perspective as the community continues to navigate important civic issues.

We’re excited to share details about our next Springdale Community Forum event soon—stay tuned and be part of the conversation.
