25 Out-of-the-Box Exercise Ideas

Let’s Talk About Movement

Sometimes the word exercise sounds like work, so I like to call it movement instead.

What is movement?

It’s any activity that’s fun and gets your body moving!

Your body was designed to move. In many ways, movement is fuel for your body — just like healthy food. It boosts energy, improves mood, reduces stress, and creates opportunities to connect with both old and new friends.

The best kind of movement? The kind you actually enjoy.

How Do You Choose the Right Movement?

Think back to what you loved doing as a kid. Did you roller skate? Hula hoop? Swim? Ride bikes? Play basketball until the streetlights came on?

Choose a type of movement you used to love but haven’t done in years. You may be surprised how quickly it brings back joy — and makes you feel like a kid again.

Make Movement Part of Your Day

Start small. Schedule a regular 10-minute “movement appointment” with yourself. Maybe it’s first thing in the morning, during lunch, or after work.

Consistency matters more than intensity.

A little movement every day adds up to better energy, better balance, better sleep, and a healthier body overall.

To your best health, Debs~
