Springdale

A Springdale dog recently broke his leg. The vet bill would be about $5000.00 — which his owners did not have. A concerned friend contacted Zion Animal Lovers who stepped in, convinced the vet to charge less, then paid the entire $4000.00 + bill.

If you haven’t gotten acquainted with Z-Arts, you’re missing out on a wonderful world of creativity.

When driving through Springdale headed to the entrance of Zion National Park, the Park is not just ahead of you, it’s to your right and to your left. Look up. We are surrounded by the Park. We have open space galore and ordinances to protect it even in non-ZNP land.

Our library is little, but mighty, see page 8 for a reprint of an article about it. Walking from the library through the corridor to where TC and PC meetings occur is a delightful and ever-changing stroll through someone’s artistic handiwork.

Bumbleberry Pie is an iconic treat; Bumbleberry Theater is a wonderful, often free, but always reasonably-priced, resource for entertainment and community gathering and engagement.

Citizens cared enough to start Springdale Community Forum. Good things are on the horizon from that dedicated group.

No matter how much nostalgia we all may have for Springdale’s simpler, less crowded past, The Springdale Sun has the, perhaps Pollyanna-ish, belief that it’s best days can be ahead.
